  • What was the challenge for Slovak Telekom?

    Slovak Telekom is a 100% subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, a global leader in providing telecommunication services. In 2022, Slovak Telekom provided fixed network and mobile services to more than 3 million customers.

    Slovak Telekom was looking for a way to onboard customers digitally in order to improve sales through digital channels without requiring real customer presence. The first phase’s main goal was to have a process in place for a brand-new prepaid consumer. Because a SIM card can be used nearly immediately after purchase, remote verification from a commercial standpoint enables the expansion of SIM card sales channels to additional partners and enhances customer experience.

    Making a selfie and taking an ID photo are both required as part of the new onboarding procedure, which runs a liveness check on the consumer in the background. It is user-friendlysecure, and doesn’t need any help from the employees.
